Selenium tetrafluoride has been reacted with C1F, BrF, HF and HC1. From the reaction with C1F, the important compound SeF5C1 has been recovered. The mass spectrum, infrared and nmr spectrum of this compound have been examined. SeF4and BrF react to give only SeF6and Br2. Under the conditions used SeF4does not react with HC1 or HF
