Recently, the RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) system is used in various fields such as security management, logistical management, etc. For example, a card-type tag is used as an employee identification card or a student identification card. In this study, the RFID tag attached to teeth for personal certification will be suggested. Here, characteristics of antenna are changed by dielectric properties of body tissues when an RFID tag is attached to teeth. Therefore, in this study, as simple model as a dipole antenna attached to the teeth has been calculated by use of the FDTD (Finite Difference Time Domain) method in order to analyze the operation of the antenna. Moreover, the antenna radiation patterns and input impedance are measured by use of teeth phantom. As a result, a main lobe of the antenna faced the opposite direction of the teeth.
