The Pigments & Additives business saw average prices rise by around 4 percent although the paper market was down 7-8 percent, impacting on sales volumes and product mix. Imerys continued its development program comprising:150,000 tpa paper grade kaolin capacity expansion (taking 10 percent of UK kaolin output) and pipeline construction in Brazil (see below)increase in GCC capacity in ItalyNew calcined kaolin line for paint (Opacilite~(TM))Expansion of Belgian GCC plant for plastic filmsNew products.
