Supersorb trials zeolite for water treatment

Albany-based absorbent minerals producer Supersorb Environmental NL is to undertake full-scale trials of its activated zeolite technology at the Water Corp. of Western Australia's Kwinana Wastewater Treatment Plant. The project is a significant step for Supersorb in commercialising its activated zeolites for wastewater treatment, and could open up a very large market for the company. The trials will last three to six months, during which time Supersorb will aim to demonstrate how the zeolite improves plant performance in areas such as odour reduction, nutrient management and nitrification enhancement.
