The Tohoku 9.0 magnitude earthquake and resulting tsunami that struck Japan on 11 March 2011 was one of the most devastating events in the country's history.The damage claimed over 15,000 lives as well as destroying homes, industry, infrastructure, and causing a full scale nuclear disaster.It also had a substantial effect on Japan's mineral industries. One year on from the disaster, IM takes a look at how several of those industries are recovering and what may be changed forever.
