At Intersolar 2009, Sharp Corp., a leading manufacturer of photovoltaic (PV) modules, showcased its technological expertise with an exhibit of its high-efficiency crystalline PV modules and thin-film solar cells. Sharp discussed business with system integrators and installers.The European market was affected by both the so-called Spain Shock, the collapse of the solar energy bubble in the wake of the reduction in the price the Spanish government would pay for electricity, and the financial crisis. The unfavorable market environment is expected to continue at least into the coming year.
