Matilda gets minsands start-up approval

Western Australia-based Matilda Minerals Ltd is to begin mining at its Andranangoo West mineral sands project in the Tiwi Islands (Bathurst and Melville Islands),approx.60km north of Darwin,by the end of September 2006.The company has now received authorisation from the Northern Territory Minister for Primary Industry,Fisheries and Mines to go-ahead with operations,and it expects to reach full production during October this year.
