BASED IN HOUSTON, Texas, the Kinder Morgan family of companies includes three separate, publicly-traded entities on the New York Stock Exchange - Kinder Morgan, Inc. (KMI), Kinder Morgan Energy Partners, LP (KMP), and Kinder Morgan Management LLC(KMR). KMI is one of the largest energy transportation and storage companies in North America, operating more than 35,000 miles of natural gas and products pipelines and approximately 90 terminals. KMI owns KMP the largest publicly traded pipeline limited partnership in the USA in terms of market capitalisation. Within KMP is a bulk commodities handling division, Kinder Morgan Bulk Terminals (KMBT) which is based in Sorrento, Louisiana and is now the USA's largest independent bulk and liquid terminal operator. This includes a huge variety of different industrial minerals types and trade routes.
