Oglebay goes Chapter 11

After a long periodof negotiations with lenders,US industrial minerals company Oglebay Norton Co.and its wholly owned subsidiaries filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in Delaware on 23 February 2004.The company wa unable to solve its serious debt problems outside of court protection and said the move was the only viable option it had remaining.
