Magnapower separators

The South African magnetic separator maker, Magnapower (Ry) Ltd has announced two improved versions of existing equipment, the Magnadrum 2000 and Magnaroll 2000.The Magnadrum 2000 is designed to recover weakly magnetic particles from dry granular materials. Typical applications in industrial minerals usage include concentration of ilmenite and manganese ores, removal of chromite, garnet and ilmenite from diamondiferous concentrates, removal of serpentine from magnesite, and selective separation of ilmenite, garnet and monazite. Material is fed from the hopper at a controlled rate on to the rotating drum -the magnetic material is deflected whereas the remaining material follows a normal path. Splitters divert the separated particles into outlets.
