Sunkar develops Kazakh phosphate for Asian markets

Even though markets have taken a recent downturn, fertiliser mineral development appears all the rage still, with continuing projects in the Americas, the Middle East, and Australia. Apart from developments in Vietnam, the fertiliser hungry region of Asia has had little else to look forward to in the way of new phosphate sources. Enter Sunkar Resources Plc, which is looking to bring on stream a new Asian source of phosphate rock by mid-2010, followed by construction of a full integrated phosphoric acid and DAP complex.
