ANYONE WISHING TO learn about China's magnesite industry could do no better than visit Shenyang, capital of Liaoning province in north-east China during 22-24 September. The city was host to the 2nd China Liaoning International Magnesia Materials Exposition, organised by the Liaoning Magnesite Resources Protection Office of the Liaoning Government, with IM proud to be media sponsor. According to the organisers, initial estimates of attendance revealed about 20,000 visitors, among which there were about 300 overseas visitors. During the event some 240 trade intents were agreed, which amounted to about 220 million dollars. in trade value, of which 1 88 were domestic trade and 58 export trade.
