Vertical and horizontal screening

There are many different methods for screening, but in general material is either moved at an angle approximating horizontal, or vertically - the latter being exclusive to a range of screens called Mogensen sizers. In general, most screens are relatively flat, with the material to be screened moving fairly slowly along a screen deck, which is usually held at a relatively shallow angle to horizontal. The apertures are close in size to the required separation size, and the material is moved by the jigging, vibrating, oscillating or rotation of the screen.
