Anglo American targets Mondi listing

The UK's Anglo American plc has decided to list its 100 percent owned paper and packaging subsidiary Mondi on the London Stock Exchange (LSE). The listing is scheduled to take place in 2006 or 2007. The move, which will see Mondi become a separate entity from its parent, forms part of an ongoing strategic review by Anglo American, the aim of which is to simplify its company structure and focus on its core mining portfolio.
