Feldspar is one of the most abundant minerals in the Earths crust, forming more than 60% of terrestrial rocks. According to United States Geological Survey (USGS) 2013 estimates, identified and hypothetical resources can amply meet anticipated world demand. "Resources are large, although not always conveniently accessible," Arnold Tanner, USGS mineral commodity specialist, said, in the USGS Mineral Commodity Summaries 2013.
