INDUSTRIAL MINERALS in Vietnam are rather abundant, with some having large reserves and good quality. However, the amount of mineral resources being utilised for national economic development is still very small. Most of the high quality materials must still be imported. The basic cause of the above situation is that due attention has not been paid to technological research, and geological investigation has not been carried out in line with the research for mineral utilisation.
