Two new companies for WBB

UK-based WBB Group has set up a I W new Italian company Interclay Sri, to serve the Italian tile industry with I light firing clays. WBB has created the new company in order to improve the service it provides to its customers in the Italian tile market. Based at Maranello, Interclay's main focus will be the supply of clay products from Puchs Ton's (also a member of the WBB Group) operations throughout Europe. These include clays from the Westerwald and MeiBen regions of Germany, as well as clay products from Pronet Cie in France and the Donbasregion of the Ukraine. Up until now WBB's interests in Italy have been looked after by Petrar Industrial Minerals Sri, which has acted as the company's representative and agent. In addition to setting up Interclay, WBB has bought part of Petra's warehousing business in Maranello. The purchase, which was agreed for an undisclosed sum, includes customers' goodwill and is designed to ease complications arising from the fact that Petra remains agents for some of WBB's interests in Italy. Under the terms of the purchase agreement, Interclay will lease warehousing space from Petra.
