Alkane's Dubbo zirconia progress

Australian Zirconia Ltd (AZL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Perth-based gold miner Alkane Exploration Ltd, has embarked on the third, definitive phase of its feasibility study on the highly promising Dubbo zirconia project in New South Wales, 400km north-west of Sydney.Following the completion of the first two phases of the study by industrial minerals consultants DEMA Pty Ltd, the total measured and inferred resource at Dubbo has been expanded to 83m. tonnes containing 1.91 percent zirconia, 0.138 percent yttria and 0.720 percent rare earth oxides, as well as 0.448 percent niobium pentoxide, 0.027 percent tantalum pentoxide and 0.041 percent hafnia.
