Most of the plants are located in Guizhou and Henan provinces because bused regions are rich in bauxite and hydroelectric = energy resources. No. 2 Grinding Wheel Factory (GWF) in Henan, So. S in Guizhou, No.4 in Shandong, No.7 and Guizhou New Material (Mineral) Development Co. Ltd, (GZNM). Among tliem, No. 7 GWF and GZNM are the largest regarding abramrc ant refractory grade production and exports. They mainly -produce 80,030 tpa brown fused alumina grits and 8,000 tpa brown fused alumina powders as well as 8,000 tpa white fused alumina, 15,000 tpa . alcon carbide grits and 5,000 tpa silicon carbide powders.
