Pan Pacific looks to AIM

Canadian industrial minerals and aggregates company, Pan Pacific Aggregates PLC (PPA), has presented its Sechelt project fundamentals to the investment community in late 2005, ahead of a planned listing on London's Alternative Investment Market (AIM). The property covers 72,000 acres, hosting over 72m. tonnes of mineral deposits with what PPA calls "strong commercial potential". Even though it is a Vancouver-based company, PPA told IM that it has chosen AIM as the project has a wide and diverse group of products, meaning it can be confusing for investors, and the London market has a good understanding of mining and minerals projects with a global outlook. In the North American market, only large aggregate or fertiliser minerals producers tend to be well recognised in the non-metallic minerals sector. When IM went to press in early December, the first day of AIM trading in PPA shares had yet to be confirmed but was expected to be before the year end.
