Swedish feldspar

THERE IS AN increasing demand for ceramic raw materials, in particular potassium feldspar. In order to strengthen economic growth, Norrbotten county, the largest and northernmost province of Sweden, initiated an extensive prospection on feldspar and quartz and supported production in the deposits Niilivaara and Isakberget. Within a research project of the Norrbotten county council the 12 most important potassium-feldspar deposits were studied in detail.
