Algeria has a great wealth of natural resources andthe exploitation of these resources can provide an excellentplatform for the development of the country. In addition to primeoil and gas fields and high grade gold deposits (up to 25g/tonne),Algeria has extensive potential for industrial minerals projects.With close to 60 percent of the population under the age of 30,low labour costs, and a strategic position at the crossing ofEurope - the Arab world and Africa - the efforts made by theAlgerian government to promote foreign investment should notbe missed by the minerals industry.
