So far in this article, Dr Kabir has focussed on some basic misconceptions revolving around plantation management practices, which are responsible for low productivity per hectare / man day in a host of tea gardens in the country. The author emphasises that the misconceptions have to be corrected immediately. This part of the study, however, begins with the present crisis of the country's tea industry and prospects in the near future.
