AbstractThe recovery of methomyl from fortified food samples was determined semi‐quantitatively by a multi‐pesticide residue screening procedure with thin‐layer chromatography enzyme inhibition as the detection system. The estimated recoveries from milk, eggs, beef, honey, butter, pork, peas and cabbage were variable: 70–90 for samples fortified at 0.5 mg/kg and 40–90 for 0.05 mg/kg.
