摘要

Significance of tea to the human race is not merely one of quenching thirst and meeting the needs of maintaining health of body, it is also a cultural activity denoting elegance and gentility. It is no wonder that tea is lauded as "the most civilisedbeverage of the century" and many people prophesy that 21 st century will be the domain of tea. Cantonese like tea very much--they have morning tea, noon tea and evening tea, so the people in other parts of the country say for fun that Cantonese are living in the tea. When friends meet, they usually say, "Have you had tea?" as a way to greet each other, or say "Next time if we have time we may have another chat over tea" to end a conversation. Actually, whether they are busy or not, Cantonese like to have tea.
