摘要

The search for new molecules of fungicides to control the diseases of tea is an ongoing process. In this investigation a few new fungicide molecules and certain inorganic nutrients were evaluated for controlling red rust disease of tea caused by Cephaleuros species.It is well known that tea plant is susceptible to various diseases caused by pathogenic microbes resulting in 15-20% crop loss (Satyanarayana and Barua, 1983). The scenario of tea disease occurrence indicates the dominance of particular diseases creatinghavoc in certain periods. In the recent years infection by red rust disease of tea caused by both the algal species of Cephaleuros i.e. C. parasiticus (stem red rust) and C. mycoidea (leaf red rust) has been causing serious maladies in the tea plantations of N. E. India. In this investigation few new fungicide molecules and certain inorganic nutrients were evaluated at different concentrations to find out their efficacy for controlling red rust disease of tea under field conditions.
