Magnetic properties of amorphous Tbhyphen;Fe alloy films have been investigated for magnetohyphen;optic memory media applications. The perpendicular magnetic anisotropy, saturation magnetization, and Curie temperature were investigated in the samples deposited by vacuum evaporation at different substrate temperaturesTs. A very large value (2times;107erg/cc) of the uniaxial anisotropy constantKuwas found in the samples deposited at a high substrate temperature (400thinsp;deg;C), and it was found also that the saturation magnetization and Curie temperature exhibit a strong dependence on substrate temperature during the evaporation process.
