Tea Estate as Base for Corporate Training

An exemplary example of a tea estate serving as the base for corporate training and outward-bound learning for any industry, not just tea, exists in the Nilgiris and is fit for emulation by the possible plantation units all over India. The beneficiaries are from different countries. "This has given me a different and unique experience. I had never seen tea, coffee, spices, herbs, trees and flowers - all in such a natural beauty in one place. We also saw for the first time many birds and a few animalsin the wild. When corporate training happens here, that comes with greenery advantage", Michiel Laerenbergh, Manager, Design Product Development of Belgian company, Hansen Transmissions, engaged in manufacturing gears for wind energy, told me at the camp site on the estate.
