A Few Agronomy Related Problems in the Tea Industry of Terai and Dooars and a Few Suggestions

From 1998 to 2007, tea industry of Terai and Dooars faced severe problem because of low price of tea. Increasing cost of production and low price realization almost crippled the industry to a great extent. At one point of time, it was apprehended thatit could be the end of the journey for the tea industry but slowly and surely, tea industry could withstand the adversities and could stand up again to face the challenges. Still few problems persist in Dooars and Terai region of West Bengal, which needs to be addressed.
