摘要

Hydrogen ion concentration (pH), carbon and nitrogen requirement for the optimum vegetative growth of Corticium invisum Fetch, was studied. Among the carbon sources D-glucose and maltose were found to be the best for the growth of C. invisum. Likewiseamong the tested nitrogen sources ammonium phosphate (mono) and urea supported very good vegetative growth while peptone, yeast extract and casein hydro-lysate provided best support for vegetative growth of test pathogen among the organic sources of nitrogen. Acidity at pH 4.5 was found to be the best for supporting the vegetative growth of C. invisum.
