It is regretted that the article entitled The Rotorvane : Background Origin Evolution could not be published in the October issue of this journal. The publication is, however, resumed from this Issue. In this part of the article the author R.N. Chatterjee, ex-Techntcal Manager of Andrew Yule & Co. Ltd., Port Engineering Works, Howrah, deals with the evolution of Rotorvane from early days of CTC manufacture. He has narrated here the original purpose of designing and using 15" Rotorvane, to head CTC Tandem fitted with 24" long Rollers, later with 30" and 36" long Rollers. The benefits and problems connected with this matter have also been highlighted in great detail. In the opinion of the author, the demand of CTC manufacture, which could not be met by 15" Rotorvane, practically prompted to design and use 12" Rotorvane.
