This paper defines regional food and provenance protection, and briefly describes the food and beverage industry in Yorkshire and Humber, UK. The consumer perspective to the "deliciouslyorkshire" brand, which is predominantly used to identify food and drink from the region, and the types of innovation pertinent to the regional food and drink are discussed. The influential factors, current trends and drivers of innovation are also discussed.
