Reverse Phase Isolation of Pyrrolizidine Alkaloids

摘要

A new liquid chromatography method for the isolation of pyrrolizidine alkaloids has been developed. The use of reverse phase high pressure liquid chromatography with a methanol - .01 M KH2PO4(pH 6.3) solvent system is discussed. Pyrrolizidine alkaloids fromSenecio vulgaris, S. longilobus, andS. jacobaeahave been isolated and identified.
