Mr. Lemi Tolunay, Chairman, Istanbul Leather and Leather Products Exporters Association and Turkish Leather Council, at a press conference held on 4 September the opening day of the All China Leather Exhibition (ACLE) in Shanghai, presented a brief Background on Turkish leather and leathergoods industry. He said China and Shanghai are of two major importance of Turkish Leather Brands. Exports of Turkey to the Far East and Asian countries is rising. In comparison to previous years the export of leather and leather products to Asia and Oceania countries increased 56.2% and reached 121.2 million dollars.
