FIRST INTERNATIONAL LEATHER ENGINEERS SYMPOSIUM AT IZMIR, TURKEY

The Department of Leather Engineering, Faculty of Engineering of the Ege University, Izmir, Turkey organized the First International Leather Engineers Symposium on the theme "Leather Industry-Environment and Engineering Technologies" from 29th April 2009 to 1st May 2009 at Hotel Princess, Izmir. There were oral presentations and poster presentations and two invited lectures. Dr.S.Sadulla, Executive Director, Indian Shoe Federation, Chennai delivered the first invited lecture, just after the opening ceremony on 29th April 2009. His presentation was on the title "Engineering Education in Leather-A Case Study". (The full text of this presentation is published elsewhere in this issue).
