There are numerous plant extracts that have been used for the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia and voiding dysfunction. While some extracts show promise, their efficacy has not been adequately proven in longdash;term, doubledash;blind, placebodash;controlled trials. In addition, the mechanism of action remains poorly defined.
