An electrochemical sensor for determination of hydrazine in gas media

An electrochemical sensor for rapid automatic determination of hydrazine in the worksite air and the technical compartments of transportation vehicles that is designed as a two-compartment, three-electrode system with electrodes immersed in a water-organic solution and equipped with a diffusion membrane is described. The sensor permits determination of hydrazine at concentration of up to 0.5 vol.% with a relative error not exceeding 5 rel.%. The service life of the sensor under continuous operation conditions is at least 1000 h for a single fill of the water-organic electrolyte solution.
