Houston—Venture capital firm EnCap Flatrock Midstream has committed $250 million to Cardinal Midstream’s efforts to boost acquisitions and development activity in North American resource basins, which have been seeing a surge in investment from private equity groups looking for the best acreage with the highest returns. Cardinal said Wednesday its operations are focused on natural gas and crude oil gathering, natural gas processing, centralized compression facilities, condensate stabilization, vapor recovery and natural gas treating.
