Polyalkylene glycol (PAG)-based quenchants have been used in heat-treating operations globally for four decades, but acceptance has been slower in China. Recently, The Dow Chemical Company, manufacturer of UCON Quenchants, collaborated with leading Chinese manufacturers in a series of quenchant trials to demonstrate the performance of PAG quenchant technology in a variety of applications.
