PHENOCLAST SEGREGATION AND LENTICULARITY OF BEDS OF THE PRECAMBRIAN CONGLOMERATE OF JAISAMAND FORMATION IN UMRA SECTOR, UDAIPUR DISTRICT, RAJASTHAN

摘要

Precambriun conglomerate beds of the Jaisamand Formation (2.5 Ga) in Unira area were studied to collet quantitative data on phenoclast segregation factor and bed lenticuiarity index. The quantitative observations made on these bedding characteristics using Clifton methodology suggest that a combination of low lenticuiarity index and high phenoclast segregation factor characterise a dominant marine wave-worked dynamics that operated during the deposition of Uinra conglomerate.
