Tinuvin 783 is used as a light stabilizer in propylene-based composites for fabrication of polymer packing materials (polypropylene bags); it represents a mixture of Tinuvin 622 and Chimassorb 944 taken in a proportion of 1 : 1. The mixture is also effective as a long-term heat stabilizer of Tinuvin 622 and Chimassorb 944, which are sterically hindered amines. Our goal in this study was to develop a method for rapid detection of Tinuvin 783 in polypropylene films in the concentration range of 0.05-0.25 wt.%.
