Concentration of low-volatility impurities in thin-layer chromatography

A method for concentrating nonvolatile and low-volatility organic and inorganic trace components on a TLC plate from solutions with a volatile main component is proposed. The method is based on intense thermal desorption of the main component in a narrow zone of the TLC plate. The concentration ratio attained is 500, and the time of concentration is 20-30 min.
