There can be no doubt that technology provides the means to better connect developing-country scientists to the larger scientific community. In "Open Access to Research for the Developing World" (Issues, Winter 2008), Matthew J. Cocker ill and Bart G. J. Knols identify the constraints and provide a compelling argument for overcoming them. The authors cite the open-source Malaria Journal for disseminating published studies to Zambian researchers; however, there were only two Zambia-specific articles published in that journal in 2007.
