Sudan Livestock exports exceed a two million heads this year

According to a report released by the Ministry of Animal Resources and Fisheries, Sudan's exports of live cattle has exceeded two million heads since the beginning of the year, while meat exports hit close to 7.6 million tons. Mr. Faisan Hassan, Minister for Animal Resources and Fisheries has said in a statement that hides exports this year also reached a little over 3 million pieces by September end. He said that revenue of animal sources export stood at US$ 285 million. The ministry has plans for 2012, to increase export to 3 million heads along side with upgrading meat export to 42 thousand tons.
