Anthelmintic activity of Embelia ribes (Barberang) against Haemonchus contortus infection in goats

In present study, anthelmintic evaluation of E. ribes was done. Among different extracts, cold aqueous extract was found to be best having 44% larvicidal activity at 20 mg/ml concentration after 72 hr and 100% adulticidal activity at 20 mg/ml concentration at 24 hr interval. During in-vivo experimentation of aqueous extract, the efficacy on day 7 PT were 50.00% and 66.67%, respectively, at the dose rate of 100 and 125 mg/kg b wt.
