摘要

Metabolic profile study was carried out to investigate the epidemiological status in lactating dairy cattle and buffaloes. Mild anaemia was recorded in animals of unorganised farms to the extent of 17.14 and 11.58% through haemoglobin and packed cellvolume, respectively. Decline in plasma glucose was also recorded. Sub clinical deficiency of calcium was noticed in 48.00,34.28 and 60.60% and of inorganic phosphorus in 40.00,51.42 and 53.33%, in organised and unorganised cattle farms and buffaloes from nomadic tribes, respectively. The levels of total plasma protein, albumin, urea nitrogen and activities of aspartate aminotransferase and alanine aminotransferase were within the normal physiological range.
