Surgical management of tendo-achilles injuries in three cows

Lacerations and rupture of gastrocnemeous muscle and achilles tendon are seen in cattle due to automobile accident or trauma. A few immobilization methods tried in experimental animals (Johnson and Lowe, 1974 and Kulkarni and Patel, 1984) are not always proven successful. The present paper reports the successful surgical management of three clinical cases of lacerations/loss of tendo-achilles.
