Investigations were carried out to study the integrated effect of planting methods and herbicides on growth and development of Phalaris minor in rice-wheat system. Flat sown wheat at 15 cm row spacing resulted in significantly lower dry matter of P. minor as compared to bed planting method and to flat sown with 22.5 cm row spacing which on an average, increased grain yield by 12% as compared to bed sowing technique as well as flat sowing at 22.5 cm row spacing, Clodinafop and sulfosulfuron at their recommended levels efficiently controlled P. minor and increased grain yield of wheat as compared to unweeded (control). Application of clodinafop at 60 g ha~(-1) to flat sown closely spaced (15.0 cm) crop reduced the dry matter of P. minor to the extentof 16.7% as compared to bed planted crop.
