Barium contrast radiographic studies of canine stomach disorders.

A clinical study on contrast radiography of stomach with oral barium sulphate suspension 25% (5 mL/kg b.wt) was done on six clinical cases of dogs to study the various affections of stomach. The animals were subjected to radiography prior to and after the barium meal. Contrast radiography using barium sulphate was found useful for identifying the lesions of the stomach, which generally cannot be identified on plain radiography.
