摘要

Perlette is an early-ripening grape variety but due to early onset of rains, its berries are ruptured leading to rotting of bunches. Hence, it is necessary to get maturity period advanced. The process of attaining maturity in grapes like other fruitsis also governed by biochemical changes. Various workers have tried to improve the quality and enhance maturity of grapes by different methods such as girdling and brushing (Dobas et al., 3 Jindal el al., 5; Nath et al., 8; Sanghavi and Patil, 9), use of growth regulators (Daulta, 2; Krishnamurthi et al., 6; Mor el al., 7; Tripathi, 11). Therefore, present studies were carried out to find out the effect of trunk girdling, brushing of bunches and GA_3 singly and in combination on maturity and fruit quality of Perlette grape.
